If you have a valid and paid ticket for the conference we can provide a visa invitation letter. For this we need the following information:
- Your full name as it appears in your passport
- Birth date
- Current address
- Telephone number
- Passport number
- Date of Issue

Please note: we have noticed that the Dutch authorities thoroughly review each application as in the past there have been many people who have used a conference just to be able to enter the country. Be prepared to prove to the authorities that the conference is actually relevant given your profession. If you think you won’t qualify or if the visa application is denied, let us know and we will cancel and refund your ticket.
The agenda of the Dutch AI Conference covers all aspects of applied AI. This will help you learn about the whole process, from concepting and design, via development, to integration and implementation. We have four different tracks, each covering a certain aspect of AI.
Our workshop day allows you to dive even deeper into a specific topic.
The Dutch AI Conference offers you talks and workshops. You can read exactly what this means below.
Talks
Inspiring presentations related to the most important aspects of the AI landscape. These talks allow you to take a deep dive into AI, from concepting and design, via development and QA to integration and implenentation and everything in between. Join these sessions and get inspired by our industry heavyweights! The talks are held on the conference day, on Thursday.
Workshops
Our half-day or full day workshops on Wednesday provide you with the opportunity to dive even deeper into a topic. They are all hands-on sessions, so bring your laptop!
We encourage using the conference as a team building event. Since we not only cover development but also have topics surrounding app design and QA, you can bring your whole team! To encourage team visits, we have discounts available for larger groups. These can be requested by email at conferences@dawn.tech.
Yes, one or two photographers will be present at the conference and there’s a video crew who record sessions and make an aftermovie. Don’t want to be photographed or filmed? Please get an orange ticker at the reception desk and place it visibly on your badge. We will try to avoid taking pictures of people with orange stickers; if they do end up on a picture we will try to blur them.
We want to ‘raise the standard for applied AI’. This means the conference is created to inspire, connect and inform all those interested and involved in the AI ecosystem.
We are always looking for volunteers. Would you like to help us? Sign up as a volunteer by emailing conferences@dawn.tech.
Every year, we publish a ‘call for presentations’ on our website. As soon as we do, you will be able to submit proposals. Do you wish to be informed as soon as our call for speakers opens for next year? Keep an eye on our website or social media channels, where we’ll announce the call for presentations for next year.
Broadly speaking, the 2-day conference program is scheduled as follows:
Day 1: in-depth half- or fullday workshop days
Day 2: conference
The conference will take place at the Pathé Amsterdam Noord Movie Theater in Amsterdam, which is at the Buikslotermeerplein 2003, Amsterdam.
Yes, there is! Our venue has a designated place to leave your coat. Although there may be staff present, usage is still at your own risk.
Lunch is served in the venue. There will be enough space across two floors for people to mingle, meet and eat.
Pathé Amsterdam Noord also has a large terrace where you can take a break or have lunch in the open air if weather permits.
For a major event like our conferences, a large location that is easily accessible for everyone is required. Considering this is the largest and most spacious cinema in Amsterdam, it is a very suitable location.
Historically all our tech conferences have always been held in cinema’s. There is a special atmosphere in a cinema, with big screens and comfy seats, that give the Dutch AI Conference its own culture.
You will receive your invoice / receipt with your booking confirmation. If you would like to request another copy, please contact conferences@dawn.tech.
Unfortunately due to the hands-on nature of some of our workshops, these sessions will not be recorded. The Thursday conference sessions are recorded however. The sessions of this year’s event will be published a few weeks after the conference.
You can indicate any special dietary requirements at the time of registration by completing the lunch questions in the booking. Should you later need to make changes, please contact conferences@dawn.tech.
You can collect the badge on the day of the conference when you enter the venue. Bring your ticket (digitally or printed) to collect your badge. Note that if you purchased a student ticket you may be asked for proof that you are eligible for a student discount, such as a university pass.
Yes, you can transfer your ticket to a colleague. Please inform us if you decide to do this so we can change the registration details on our system and send your colleague a new ticket with the correct name.
Please contact conferences@dawn.tech.
Unless a speaker objects, we publish the slides alongside the audio of the session. In track 1 we also film the presenters. The recordings will be made available on our video page.
A full refund is issued if you cancel up to 30 days before the event. Please contact conferences@dawn.tech.
The venues are responsible for ensuring first aid staff availability. We will rely on the venue’s expertise regarding this topic. Please notify the venue staff in case of a medical emergency.
There will be a cloakroom available, free of charge. Although there is staff near the cloakroom, use of the cloakroom is at your own risk.
We can provide a space if required. For more information please contact conferences@dawn.tech.

Coffee, tea and water will be available free of charge throughout the event, as well as lunch and various snacks during the breaks. During lunch there will also be orange juice and other drinls.

Registration opens every day at 08:30, sessions start at 9.00 am.
On Wednesday the event is done at 17.00h. On Thursday, the conference closes at 17.30 but there’s an after party immediately afterwards. There is no strict end to the after party, but the bar closes at midnight.
An invoice and the tickets will be sent to the person who has made the purchase. Prior to the event you may receive one or more e-mails with information and updates surrounding the conference.
If you purchase a workshop ticket you can indicate during booking which session you want to attend. For Thursday’s conference sessions this is not necessary, but given the smaller scale, classroom type setup of the Wednesday workshop sessions, it is required to select which sessions you want to attend.
If you purchased a ticket before the program was finalised, we will contact you to make your selection as soon as the schedule is completed.
We offer a limited number of student discounts. Please take a look at our ticket shop for availability. Upon arrival at the event, you may be asked for proof that you are indeed entitled to the student discount.
